FAQ

  • How do I recieve my study guide?
Upon purchase, you will recieve an email notification with a download link for the purchased materials. Make sure to check your spam folder should the download link accidentally be sent to spam. Download links are valid for 30 days and once downloaded, practice exams are yours forever.
  • What is the best way to study for an exam?
It is critical to be able to navigate the material at a faster pace than is allowed during a timed exam. Building code is full of difficult and complex concepts that cover all trades and construction methods. Under a time constraint, the navigation of material to simply find the references to these concepts is critical. It is a poor strategy to attempt to memorize everything; rather, memorize concepts and the reference locations so that more complex problems are not prone to memorization error.
  • Where are the files I downloaded? I can't find them?!
If you were not asked to specify a folder when downloading your files, then your PDFs have been saved to a default “downloads” folder. If you don’t know where this lives in on your hard drive, you can do one of two things – do a search using a keyword from one of the file names, or download again using the link we sent you (each ebook or chapter can be downloaded up to 5 times).
  • Corrupt or damaged File
We'd like to reassure you that files purchased from buildingcodemasters.com are not corrupt, and if you are presented with this error message it just means something went wrong in the download process. This might mean that your internet signal was too weak, or it went down for a moment. To rectify this and open your file, you'll need to download it again. Once downloaded, be sure to open the file using Adobe Reader, NOT within your web browser (like Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer etc).
